Description

A delightful and beginner-friendly dessert featuring a silky strawberry mousse, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (or coconut cream for a dairy-free option)
  • 4 oz yogurt (or an additional 4 oz of cream cheese or coconut cream)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (or a sugar-free alternative, like Stevia or Monk Fruit)
  • 5 medium-sized fresh strawberries
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cream Cheese (or Coconut Cream): Start by bringing your cream cheese to room temperature for a smooth mix.
  2. Prepare the Strawberries: Rinse, pat dry, hull, and slice the strawberries.
  3. Mix the Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese (or coconut cream), yogurt, and powdered sugar. Beat until fluffy; add vanilla bean paste if desired. Fold in the sliced strawberries.
  4. Chill the Mousse: Transfer the mousse to a serving dish, cover lightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least two hours.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with additional strawberry slices or a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries at their peak ripeness for the best flavor. Leftover mousse can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
