Description

Discover how to make a refreshing and flavorful Lemony Dill Pasta Salad that is perfect for any occasion. This easy recipe will become a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 454 g pasta (such as fusilli or penne) (16 oz)
  • 120 ml mayonnaise (1/2 cup)
  • 120 ml Greek yogurt (1/2 cup)
  • 60 ml fresh lemon juice (1/4 cup)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 30 g fresh dill, chopped (1 oz)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pasta by following the directions on the package until it reaches a firm yet tender consistency. Drain and rinse the pasta under cold water to halt the cooking.
  2. In a large bowl, blend together the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly until the dressing is smooth and fully mixed.
  3. Transfer the cooled pasta into the bowl with the dressing. Carefully stir until the pasta is evenly covered with the creamy dressing.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour to let the flavors blend together.
  5. Before you serve, give the pasta salad a final mix and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary. For a fresh finish, garnish with extra dill and lemon zest.

Notes

  • Enhance the zesty taste by incorporating an additional squeeze of fresh lemon juice into the dressing before combining it with the pasta.
  • Try out alternative herbs like parsley or basil to give a unique twist to the traditional dill flavor.
  • For a touch of spiciness, mix in a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce into the dressing.
