Description
A comforting and vibrant dish featuring tender flank steak and fresh broccoli, enhanced with lemon and garlic flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups broccoli florets
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then add it to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
- In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Next, add the broccoli florets. Sauté the broccoli for 3-4 minutes until tender but still bright green.
- Slice the steak against the grain and return it to the skillet. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with lemon zest. Toss everything together to combine and serve warm.
Notes
Allow steak to rest after cooking for optimal tenderness. Adjust cooking times based on your stove’s performance.
