Description

Tender and flavorful Korean country ribs marinated in a sweet and spicy blend, perfect for grilling or broiling.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 lbs country-style ribs
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes in a mixing bowl.
  2. Coat the country-style ribs in the marinade.
  3. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least two hours or preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill or broiler on high heat.
  5. Discard the marinade and grill or broil the ribs for 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  6. Pour reserved marinade into a saucepan and heat it to a boil, then simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until thickened.
  7. Optional: Baste sauce over cooked ribs and serve immediately.

Notes

Allow ribs to come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking. Let them rest for a few minutes after grilling to redistribute juices.
