Description

Tender and savory beef bites made with sirloin steak and a rich marinade, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) sirloin steak, cut into small cubes
  • ¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter, cut into small chunks
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Get the steak ready: Blot the steak cubes with paper towels to remove excess moisture—this helps them cook better and soak up flavor.
  2. Make the marinade: In a mixing bowl, stir together soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Load up the crockpot: Place the steak cubes in your slow cooker and pour the marinade evenly over them, ensuring the pieces are coated well.
  4. Add the butter: Scatter the butter pieces on top of the steak mixture so they melt in during cooking.
  5. Let it cook: Cover and cook on low for 240-300 minutes or on high for 120-180 minutes until the steak is fork-tender and full of flavor.
  6. Serve it up: Garnish with parsley (optional) and serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider searing the steak cubes in a hot skillet before adding them to the crock pot. You can add vegetables like bell peppers or carrots in the last hour of cooking for added nutrition.
