  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this into the butter mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool on the cookie sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Chill your dough for 30 minutes before baking to enhance flavor and control spreading. For softer cookies, underbake them slightly.
