A comforting recipe for Italian meatballs made with ground beef, bread crumbs, and rich marinara sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
- Once browned, transfer the meatballs to a Crock Pot.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve hot with pasta or in a sub sandwich.
Notes
For extra flavor, sauté fresh onions or add red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
