Description

A colorful and flavorful sandwich loaded with layers of salami, capicola, provolone, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and pepperoncini.


Ingredients

  • Italian bread or hoagie rolls
  • Crisp lettuce
  • Juicy tomatoes
  • Red onions
  • Pepperoncini
  • Salami
  • Capicola
  • Provolone cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Red wine vinegar
  • Oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian bread or hoagie rolls in half lengthwise.
  2. Layer the lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pepperoncini, salami, capicola, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
  3. Drizzle olive oil and red wine vinegar over the piled ingredients.
  4. Sprinkle oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread and press down gently.
  6. Slice the sandwich into portions and serve immediately or wrap in foil for later.

Notes

Toast the bread for a crispy texture and let the sandwich rest for a few minutes after assembling for better flavor melding.
