Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions or bacon for garnish
Instructions
- Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the pot and cook for another 5-7 minutes until both vegetables are tender.
- Drain the vegetables and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, salt, and pepper, and mash gently until combined.
- Serve warm, garnished with green onions or bacon if desired.
