Description

Learn how to make delicious Honey Sriracha Glazed Salmon with this easy recipe. Perfectly sweet, spicy, and savory for a mouthwatering meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets, skin on (680g)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium) (45 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (30 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons water (45 ml)
  • 1/2 tablespoon (8 ml) vegetable oil, for pan fry method

Instructions

  1. Put the salmon, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, chili sauce, and water into a large resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake it to mix everything well. Allow it to marinate for one hour. Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the liquid. Choose either the oven or stovetop method detailed below to cook the salmon.
  2. Set your oven to preheat at 425°F. Prepare a baking sheet by either spraying it with cooking spray or lining it with parchment paper. Lay the salmon pieces on the prepared sheet.
  3. Place the tray in the oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the salmon is fully cooked. Be careful not to overcook it.
  4. Once the salmon has cooled slightly, remove the skin carefully.
  5. Serve right away, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan. Once the oil is hot, place the salmon in the pan with the skin side facing down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, until the salmon becomes opaque.
  7. Remove from the heat. Once it is cool enough to touch, peel off the skin.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Consider using a non-stick pan and cooking spray instead of vegetable oil for a healthier option when pan-frying the salmon.
  • Enhance the flavor by adding fresh lemon juice or sesame oil to the marinade mixture.
  • Adjust the chili sauce amount for your preferred level of spiciness, or try sriracha for a different flavor profile.
