Description
A simple and flavorful sheet pan meal featuring chicken or turkey sausage with roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli, all coated in a delicious honey garlic glaze.
Ingredients
- 14 ounces chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1/2-inch cubes
- 2 cups broccoli florets, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly coat with nonstick spray if desired.
- Arrange sliced sausage, diced sweet potatoes, and broccoli florets in an even layer on the prepared sheet pan.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, low-sodium soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the honey garlic glaze evenly over the sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. Toss until all ingredients are thoroughly coated.
- Place in the oven and roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until sweet potatoes are fork-tender and sausage is browned.
- Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with freshly minced parsley before serving.
Notes
For a bit of spice, add red pepper flakes to the glaze. Adjust cooking time as needed based on your oven’s performance.
