Description

A simple and flavorful sheet pan meal featuring chicken or turkey sausage with roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli, all coated in a delicious honey garlic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly coat with nonstick spray if desired.
  3. Arrange sliced sausage, diced sweet potatoes, and broccoli florets in an even layer on the prepared sheet pan.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in honey, low-sodium soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Pour the honey garlic glaze evenly over the sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. Toss until all ingredients are thoroughly coated.
  8. Place in the oven and roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until sweet potatoes are fork-tender and sausage is browned.
  9. Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with freshly minced parsley before serving.

Notes

For a bit of spice, add red pepper flakes to the glaze. Adjust cooking time as needed based on your oven’s performance.
