Description

A comforting dish featuring a blend of sweet honey and savory soy sauce over juicy meatballs, served on a delightful rice base.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form small meatballs and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, and ginger. Pour this glaze over the meatballs.
  5. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the glaze is bubbly.
  8. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Use a cookie scoop for uniform meatballs. Adjust moisture with broth or additional breadcrumbs if needed.
