Ingredients
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form small meatballs and place them in a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, and ginger. Pour this glaze over the meatballs.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the glaze is bubbly.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
Use a cookie scoop for uniform meatballs. Adjust moisture with broth or additional breadcrumbs if needed.
