Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually stir in milk until the dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Gently knead it a few times until smooth.
- Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter or a glass.
- Place the rounds onto a prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the biscuits bake, mix honey and softened butter until well combined.
- Once baked, serve warm with the honey butter spread.
