A comforting plate of Homemade Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy featuring tender beef patties and rich mushroom gravy, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Brown the patties on both sides, then remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring until the gravy thickens.
- Return the patties to the skillet and simmer in the gravy for about 15 minutes.
- Serve warm with gravy over the patties.
