A comforting and flavorful homemade version of the classic Hamburger Helper, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the beef broth, macaroni, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 12-15 minutes or until the macaroni is tender.
- Stir in the milk and cheese until melted and creamy.
- If desired, add in vegetables and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm.
