Ingredients
- – 2 large eggs
- – 1/2 cup (100g) white sugar
- – 1/2 cup (114g) melted beef butter or neutral oil
- – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- – 1 teaspoon baking powder
- – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- – 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- – 1 1/2 cups (188g) all-purpose flour
- – 2 apples, good for baking apples include: Pink Lady, Gala, Honeycrisp, peeled and chopped
- – 1/2 cup (110g) packed brown sugar
- – 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Coat an 8-inch loaf pan with butter or spray, then set it aside.
- Combine the swirl ingredients in a separate bowl and keep them aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the white sugar. Pour in the melted beef butter or oil and mix well.
- Add the vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the egg mixture. Stir until everything is well incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the flour until the batter is smooth.
- Gently fold the chopped apples into the batter.
- Pour half of the apple batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle three-quarters of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over this layer. Add the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the rest of the swirl on top.
- Place the loaf in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden. Use a toothpick to check if it’s done; it should come out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing and serving.
