Description

Delicious homemade churro bites filled with rich Nutella, offering a crispy exterior and soft, doughy center, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Nutella (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating the water, sugar, salt, and butter in a saucepan until boiling.
  2. Once boiling, add the flour and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until the dough becomes smooth.
  5. Preheat the oil in a deep pan or fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Use a piping bag to pipe small circles of dough into the hot oil.
  7. Fry the churro bites until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove them and drain on paper towels.
  9. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
  10. Roll the churro bites in the sugar mixture for a sweet coating.
  11. Finally, fill each churro bite with Nutella using a piping bag or squeeze bottle.
  12. Serve them warm and enjoy!

Notes

Churros are best served fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two. Reheat in an oven to restore crispness.
