Description

A deliciously sticky and tangy chicken dish with a glaze made from lemon, honey, and black pepper, perfect for family gatherings or quick dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 lean chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to create the sticky lemon pepper glaze.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Pour the sticky lemon pepper glaze over the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the glaze thickens.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken in some of the glaze before cooking for extra flavor. Always use fresh lemon juice and zest for the best taste.
