Ingredients
- 4 lean chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to create the sticky lemon pepper glaze.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Pour the sticky lemon pepper glaze over the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the glaze thickens.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
