- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 cups kidney beans, roughly 19 ounces or 540 milliliters
- 1 can cherry tomatoes, roughly 13 ounces or 398 milliliters
- 4 cups water

- Warm up the oil in a pot over medium heat, then toss in the diced onions and sauté them for 3-5 minutes until they become translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the pot, using a wooden spoon to break it into smaller pieces. Cook until the beef loses its pink color and begins to brown, which should take around 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the minced sage and garlic, cooking briefly until the garlic’s aroma is released, about 30 seconds.
- Introduce the rest of the ingredients to the pot, mixing thoroughly. Bring everything to a boil, then cover with a lid, lower the heat to a simmer, and let it cook for 1 hour.
