Description

This Healthy Chocolate Banana Bread combines ripe bananas, cocoa powder, and almond flour for a delicious and nutritious treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the applesauce and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until fully combined.
  6. If using, fold in walnuts or chocolate chips at this stage.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

For added moisture, consider adding a tablespoon of coconut oil to the mix. Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing for cleaner cuts.
