Ingredients
- 6 sweet apples
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 10 ml (2 tsp) vegetable oil
- 160 g (2/3 cup) oats
- 85 g (2/3 cup) pecans
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) vegetable oil
- 10 ml (2 tsp) honey
Instructions
- Dice the apples and cook them in a skillet with the remaining ingredients over medium-high heat. Cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes.
- Set your oven to 180C/350F to preheat.
- Combine all the crumble elements in a food processor, adding a tablespoon of water, and blend until the mixture is crumbly and cohesive.
- Take a small baking dish, grease it or line it with parchment paper, and layer the apple mixture. Press the crumble mixture into larger chunks and scatter them over the apples.
- Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the topping turns golden brown.
- Allow it to cool slightly and serve with milk or yogurt for breakfast, or pair with ice cream for a dessert treat.
