Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix applesauce, almond milk, and melted coconut oil until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Scoop out small balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon for coating.
- Once churro bites are done, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
