Description

Delicious sliders made with savory beef, melted cheese, and sweet Hawaiian rolls, perfect for gatherings and customizing with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 pack Hawaiian rolls
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4-5 tablespoons mayonnaise or room-temperature butter
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 20 pickle rounds
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper.
  3. Drain the grease, reserving 1 tablespoon in the skillet, and place the cooked beef in a bowl.
  4. Return the skillet to heat. Add minced onion and cook until they develop a little color.
  5. Add the onions to the bowl with the beef.
  6. Stir in the ketchup and BBQ sauce, mixing until combined.
  7. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, mixing until fully incorporated.
  8. Unpackage the Hawaiian rolls, keeping them connected, and split them in half horizontally.
  9. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or butter on both sides of the rolls.
  10. Layer the American cheese slices on the bottom half of the rolls.
  11. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the cheese, then drizzle yellow mustard on top.
  12. Arrange the pickle rounds over the beef mixture, then add the tops of the rolls.
  13. Brush melted butter on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  14. Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese melts and the tops toast.
  15. Slice through the creases using a serrated knife and transfer to a serving platter.

Notes

Feel free to customize toppings, such as avocado or jalapeños, for a personal touch.
