Description
A comforting and hearty hamburger soup filled with ground beef, fresh vegetables, and rich beef broth.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, croutons
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, and green beans.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot, topped with cheese or croutons if desired.
Notes
Experiment with different vegetables and spices for added flavor complexity. If the soup is too salty, balance it out with more broth.
