Description

A delightful side dish made with large onions, grilled to perfection with a blend of spices and balsamic vinegar.

Ingredients

  • Large onions
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut the top off each onion and remove the outer skin.
  2. Cut the onion from the top down into the shape of a blossom, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Brush the onions with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the onions.
  5. Wrap each onion in aluminum foil and place on a hot grill for about 20-25 minutes, or until tender.
  6. Carefully unwrap and serve hot.

Notes

Serve these blossoms with grilled meats or as a standalone appetizer. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
