Description

A delightful fusion of cheesy goodness and burrito comfort, perfect for a casual dinner or family cooking activity.

Ingredients

  • 4 large tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup cooked and seasoned meat (such as ground beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1/2 cup refried beans (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Lay a tortilla flat and layer half of the cheese in the center.
  3. Add scoops of rice, meat, and beans on top of the cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Top with the remaining cheese and fold the tortilla over the filling, folding in the sides to create a burrito shape.
  5. Butter the outside of the tortilla.
  6. Place the burrito seam-side down on the hot skillet and grill until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Grilled Cheese Burrito!
