Description

A flavorful grilled beef marinade that transforms a simple cut of meat into a delightful dish bursting with citrus and spice flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together lime juice and minced garlic.
  2. Add olive oil and soy sauce, mixing well.
  3. Stir in cumin, chili powder, black pepper, salt, and cilantro.
  4. Place carne asada in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over meat, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Seal bag or cover dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best results).
  6. Remove beef from marinade and shake off excess, then grill on medium-high heat to desired doneness.
  7. Slice beef thinly against grain and serve.

Notes

For best results, allow the beef to marinate overnight and rest after grilling for tenderness.
