Description
A healthy and indulgent frozen treat made from Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and topped with dark chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (whole milk/full fat)
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- Flaked sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt, peanut butter, vanilla protein powder, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined quarter sheet pan, ensuring an even layer of 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between until silky.
- Pour and spread the melted chocolate evenly over the yogurt mixture.
- Freeze for at least 2-3 hours until solid.
- If desired, sprinkle with flaked sea salt, then cut or break into pieces to serve.
Notes
Experiment with different nut butters or add toppings like chopped nuts or dried fruits for variations.
