Description

A warm and inviting Garlic Parmesan Focaccia Bread, infused with fresh garlic and topped with rich Parmesan cheese, perfect for gatherings or as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frothy.
  2. Add the flour, salt, olive oil, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the kneaded dough into an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  5. Punch down the dough gently to release air and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Stretch the dough evenly across the sheet.
  6. Cover the dough again and let it rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 400°F.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.

Notes

Allow the dough ample time to rise for a lighter texture. For added flavor, consider experimenting with toppings such as herbs or olives.
