Description
A warm and inviting Garlic Parmesan Focaccia Bread, infused with fresh garlic and topped with rich Parmesan cheese, perfect for gatherings or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm water (about 110°F)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frothy.
- Add the flour, salt, olive oil, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the kneaded dough into an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Punch down the dough gently to release air and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Stretch the dough evenly across the sheet.
- Cover the dough again and let it rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 400°F.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.
Notes
Allow the dough ample time to rise for a lighter texture. For added flavor, consider experimenting with toppings such as herbs or olives.
