Description
A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender steak bites cooked in rich garlic butter, paired with zucchini. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 medium zucchini, cut into half-moons
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the steak bites dry using paper towels, ensuring even cooking. Season the cubes generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the seasoned steak bites to the skillet in a single layer. Sear each side for 1-2 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, incorporate the minced garlic, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in the sliced zucchini. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet. Gently toss everything together to coat with the garlic butter.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the steak is heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, allow the steak to rest after cutting. Adjust cooking times based on steak thickness for desired doneness.
