Ingredients
- 1 lb (454 g) beef, cut into about 1/2″ cubes
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
- 4 cloves (4 cloves) garlic, minced or crushed
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) soy sauce, optional
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- Minced parsley, garnish
- chili flakes, for finishing, optional
- Additional vegetable oil for finishing, optional
Instructions
- Ensure the beef pieces are dry. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan over high temperature. Arrange the beef cubes in a single layer. Brown each side on high heat until a crust develops, typically taking 3-5 minutes, depending on the size of the cubes and the pan’s heat.
- Introduce the garlic, optional soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Continue cooking the steak pieces to your liking, usually for an additional minute or two.
- Sprinkle some minced parsley, optional chili flakes, and adjust salt and pepper if needed. Optionally, finish by drizzling a bit more vegetable oil over the steak bites. Serve immediately.
