Indulge in a delicious Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi Pasta recipe that’s perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Learn how to make this flavorful dish today!

Ingredients

  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • – 4 tablespoons (60 g) beef tallow
  • – 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • – 1 1/4 pounds (570 g) shrimp, shelled with tails on or off
  • – 1 pinch salt, to taste
  • – 1 pinch cracked pepper, to taste
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) apple juice or broth
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) red pepper flakes, crushed, or to taste – optional
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice
  • – 1/4 cup (15 g) fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Warm up the vegetable oil and half of the beef tallow in a large skillet or pan.
  2. Introduce the minced garlic and cook until aromatic (approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute).
  3. Place the shrimp into the pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper to your liking, and cook for 1-2 minutes on one side until they start to change to a pink hue, then turn them over.
  4. Add the apple juice or broth, and if desired, the crushed red pepper flakes. Allow it to gently bubble for 1-2 minutes or until the liquid reduces by roughly half and the shrimp are fully cooked (be careful not to overcook them).
  5. Mix in the remaining beef tallow, lemon juice, and chopped parsley, then promptly remove from heat.
  6. Pair with your choice of rice, pasta, garlic bread, or steamed veggies like cauliflower, broccoli, or zucchini noodles.

Notes

  • For a more indulgent taste, try using beef broth in place of apple juice.
  • Adjust the red pepper flakes to your desired level of spiciness.
  • Ensure the shrimp are not overcooked to maintain their tender texture.
