Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; stir to combine.
- Let it simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture until well coated.
- Serve with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
