Description

A comforting dish that combines the rich flavors of French onion soup and beef broth with fluffy long grain rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups long grain rice, uncooked
  • 14.5 oz can of beef broth
  • 10.5 oz can of French onion soup
  • 1 stick of cold butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In an 8X8 inch pan, evenly spread the uncooked rice across the bottom.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the rice, ensuring all grains are submerged.
  4. Next, pour in the French onion soup, allowing it to blend with the broth for a robust flavor.
  5. Slice the butter into pats and layer it evenly over the rice and soup mixture.
  6. Cover the dish with tin foil and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
  7. After 25 minutes, uncover the dish and return it to the oven, baking for an additional 25 minutes.
  8. Once finished, sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For an enhanced flavor profile, consider adding garlic powder, balsamic vinegar, or fresh thyme before baking.
