Description

Discover how to make delicious French crepes with our easy-to-follow recipe. Learn the secrets to creating thin, delicate crepes that will impress your friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (240 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar (5 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk (480 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil, melted

Instructions

  1. Assemble all the necessary ingredients.
  2. Pass the flour, sugar, and salt through a sieve into a mixing bowl and set it aside. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk using an electric mixer.
  3. Gradually incorporate the sifted flour mixture into the egg and milk blend until you achieve a smooth consistency; then add in the melted vegetable oil.
  4. Apply a small amount of grease to a griddle or frying pan and warm it up over medium-high heat. Pour or ladle about 2 tablespoons of batter onto the heated surface for each crepe.
  5. Quickly tilt and swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly into a thin circle. Allow it to cook until the surface is no longer wet and the underside is lightly browned, approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Gently shake the pan or use a spatula to loosen the crepe; flip it over and cook the other side until it also turns light brown, roughly another minute. Continue this process with the remaining batter.
  7. Pair the crepes with your favorite fillings or toppings, and savor the dish!

Notes

  • – Ensure to sift the flour, sugar, and salt to prevent any lumps in the batter.
  • Use a ladle to pour the batter evenly onto the griddle for consistent crepe size.
  • – Allow the crepe surface to dry before flipping; avoid rushing the cooking process.
  • Experiment with various fillings and toppings to personalize your crepes.
