Description

Delicious foil packet burgers featuring ground beef, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese, perfect for easy cooking outdoors or indoors.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for cooking
  • Aluminum foil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lay out 4 large pieces of aluminum foil.
  3. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
  4. Place each patty in the center of a piece of foil.
  5. Top each burger with sliced mushrooms and a slice of Swiss cheese.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle some butter on top.
  7. Fold the foil over the patties, sealing tightly to form packets.
  8. Place the foil packets on the grill or in the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  9. Carefully open the packets and serve the burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a crispy bun, consider lightly toasting the hamburger buns during the last few minutes of cooking.
