Delicious foil packet burgers featuring ground beef, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese, perfect for easy cooking outdoors or indoors.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for cooking
- Aluminum foil
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lay out 4 large pieces of aluminum foil.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
- Place each patty in the center of a piece of foil.
- Top each burger with sliced mushrooms and a slice of Swiss cheese.
- Add salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle some butter on top.
- Fold the foil over the patties, sealing tightly to form packets.
- Place the foil packets on the grill or in the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Carefully open the packets and serve the burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a crispy bun, consider lightly toasting the hamburger buns during the last few minutes of cooking.
