Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs

- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Food coloring (various colors)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with milk, until smooth.
- Evenly divide the cupcake batter into the prepared cupcake pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- While the cupcakes cool, prepare the frosting by creaming the softened butter with powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Gradually add the milk until you reach the desired consistency.
- Divide the frosting into separate bowls and tint with food coloring. Pipe onto cupcakes in decorative flower shapes.
- Add sprinkles for a touch of flair, if desired.
