Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

- Food coloring (for floral decoration)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let them cool completely.
- Prepare the buttercream frosting and tint it with food coloring to match the floral theme.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with the buttercream and decorate with edible flowers as desired.
