Deliciously stuffed onion bombs filled with ground beef, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar, perfect for summer cookouts.
Ingredients
- 4 large onions
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Cut off the tops and bottoms of each onion, then peel off the outer skin and cut the onions in half.
- Carefully separate the layers to create bowls.
- In a separate bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped cooked bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the mixture evenly among the onion bowls, pressing it down to fill each onion completely.
- Place the filled onions on the grill and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the onions are tender.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
