Description

A delightful and moist pound cake infused with fresh strawberries, perfect for gatherings or a simple dessert at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, mixing until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool before removing it from the pan.

Notes

For added moisture, brush a simple syrup over the cake after cooling. Serve with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
