A delightful and moist pound cake infused with fresh strawberries, perfect for gatherings or a simple dessert at home.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, mixing until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before removing it from the pan.
Notes
For added moisture, brush a simple syrup over the cake after cooling. Serve with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
