Ingredients
- 1 package white cake mix
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs (or 4 egg whites)
- 1 package strawberry jello
- 1 cup boiling water
- 8 oz whipped topping
- 12 strawberries, cut in half
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9 x 13 pan with parchment paper or nonstick spray.

- Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 28-30 minutes. Check for doneness using a toothpick.
- Allow the cake to cool for at least one hour. Poke holes evenly across the surface with the back of a wooden spoon or a fork.
- Dissolve the strawberry jello in one cup of boiling water and let it cool slightly.
- Pour the warm strawberry jello over the cake, ensuring it seeps into every poke.
- Top the cake with whipped topping, garnishing each piece with half a strawberry.
- Cut the cake into 24 smaller pieces for serving.
Notes
For a more intense strawberry flavor, consider using fresh pureed strawberries in addition to jello. Customize the cake with other flavors of jello or frosting for a twist.
