A light and delicious dessert made with fresh strawberries, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, purée the strawberries until smooth.
- Add the sugar and lemon juice to the strawberry purée and blend again until combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the strawberry purée until evenly combined.
- Divide the mousse into individual serving dishes or glasses and chill for at least 120 minutes, or until set.
Notes
For best results, use ripe strawberries and chill mixing bowls for whipping cream.
