Description

A comforting dish made with frozen meatballs simmered in a rich gravy of beef broth, onion soup mix, and ketchup, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen meatballs (pre-cooked)
  • 2 cups reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the reduced-sodium beef broth, brown gravy mix, and onion soup mix. Stir until well blended.
  2. Add the frozen meatballs to the mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated with the sauce.
  3. Pour in the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until flavors meld and sauce thickens.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, create a cornstarch slurry by mixing the cornstarch with cold water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
  6. Serve warm, ensuring each meatball is drenched in the luscious gravy.

Notes

Consider adding garlic powder or thyme for extra flavor. Fresh parsley makes a great garnish.
