Description

A comforting meatloaf recipe that combines ground beef, breadcrumbs, and onions for a delicious family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (plus more for glaze)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, ketchup (except for the extra for glazing), egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into a baking dish.
  4. Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf for a glaze.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating minced garlic or herbs into the mixture. Leftover meatloaf can be sliced and stored in an airtight container.
