Description

A simple and delicious recipe for crispy oven roasted chickpeas, perfect as a healthy snack or a flavorful addition to meals.


Ingredients

  • 2 (15oz) cans low-sodium chickpeas – drained and rinsed well
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt + more for topping
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, kosher salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the chickpeas in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  4. Toss the chickpeas in the oil to coat evenly with seasoning.
  5. Spread the chickpeas on the baking sheet without overcrowding.
  6. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool on the pan for another 5-10 minutes before serving.
