Description
A simple yet delicious side dish featuring crispy oven-roasted broccoli florets, seasoned to perfection.
Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli, chopped into small-medium size florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- The juice of 1 lemon (optional for serving)
- Grated parmesan cheese (optional for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and prepare a baking sheet with spray or parchment paper.
- Cut the broccoli into small-medium size florets and let them dry on a paper towel for 10-15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil until lightly coated.
- In a separate bowl, combine sweet paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning over the broccoli and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the seasoned broccoli evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the middle rack of the oven for 17-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and plate. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with more sea salt if desired.
Notes
For extra crunch, try broiling the broccoli for the last couple of minutes. Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking.
