Description

A delightful recipe for chocolate chip cookies that are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, perfect for sharing and creating memories.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda, then set it aside.
  3. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add salt, pure vanilla extract, and the eggs. Mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture; stop mixing just as everything combines.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the lined baking sheets, giving enough space for expansion.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the centers remain slightly soft.
  9. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes if desired to enhance flavor and reduce spreading during baking. Serve with milk or ice cream for an indulgent treat.
