Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
Notes
For extra flavor, try using only brown sugar. Adding a pinch of sea salt on top before baking enhances sweetness.
