Description

Delicious chewy chocolate chip cookies that evoke the warmth of home and nostalgia.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto lined baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, try using only brown sugar. Adding a pinch of sea salt on top before baking enhances sweetness.
