Description

A comforting dish featuring tender flank steak and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Add sliced flank steak and marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for a minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the skillet, cooking until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add broccoli and water, covering to steam for about 3 minutes.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, combining with broccoli. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For added flavor, consider topping with sliced green onions or sesame seeds. Experiment with vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for variety.
