A simple and delightful banana bread recipe that transforms overripe bananas into a warm, comforting loaf.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Stir in melted butter until well combined.
- Add baking soda and salt; mix well.
- Pour in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in all-purpose flour until no streaks remain.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best flavor, use very ripe bananas. You can also experiment with mix-ins like walnuts or chocolate chips.
